Thoughts on this month
I’ve spent a couple of weeks designing the new website and getting used to blogging regularly again.
Took the boys to the dentist and eldest had a doctor’s appt to follow-up his ongoing anxiety issues. He didn’t cope well with either of the medical appts, but at least he attended.
Finished binge-watching season 3 of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds. My interest dwindled about half way through back in September, but the latter half has been much more enjoyable. A couple of the characters are a bit insufferable, but overall a decent show.
Then started watching season 20 of Taskmaster. I usually hold off until the season is done, but just couldn’t wait. This is an absolute blast, the contestants are a great mix and just the right sort of humour. My husband and eldest son are huge fans too, so we’ve been having some enjoyable evenings this week.
Chill time has otherwise been spent listening to music in the evenings, colouring, catching up on Mastodon and reading the news via my RSS app.
Work is plodding along as usual. We had a traffic spike via facebook, hopefully that will give us a boost in the run-up to Christmas.
What’s ahead?
Hoping we’ll hear about eldest getting interviewed for his college course next month. They’re supposed to be starting before Christmas.
Got a universal credit review coming up. Not looking forward to that, but I’ve heard it’s just to check we’re not doing anything dodgy, like earning a side hustle and not declaring it.
Also going into youngest’s school to help them shape the PSHE curriculum. Teaching 120 autistic 9-16yr olds about sex and relationships is sure to be a challenge! Oh and I’ll possibly hear about the parent governor application I made a few weeks ago. I kind of want the job, but also don’t because the school is nearly an hour away and I really don’t fancy driving there.
Activity Log
Spent a lot of time doing enjoyable activities this month, especially as we’ve had half-term and I didn’t need to do school runs.
