Looking forward to half-term next week. It’s been a long 7 and a half weeks and I really need a break. I find myself feeling anxious about driving a lot, plus the nights are drawing in and it’s getting noticeably colder.
My youngest gets a taxi to school due to it being specialist and nearly an hour away. Still need to take the eldest though as his school is 30 minutes away and no bus. I can’t believe that next year he can get the bus to sixth form and there will be no more school runs – bliss!!
In the meantime, I’m intending to enjoy this last year of high school for my eldest as much as possible. He’s playing the Artful Dodger in his final school production of Oliver and I’m really looking forward to that. I’m on the prom committee, so excited to help put together an unforgettable evening for the Year 11s after their exams.
Once Christmas is out of the way and we look towards spring returning, I know those last few months will fly by.
