Well I certainly didn’t intend to leave it so long between posts. The truth is, I’ve been off my feet getting the damn decorating done and have been totally exhausted by the time I’ve finished. It’s still not done either, things are taking longer than expected and hubby’s back to work tomorrow. I’m thoroughly sick of it.

If you’re wondering what on earth we’re doing, I’ll explain, but it really doesn’t sound like much on paper. Basically, we’re completely re-doing our dining room. It’s been little more than a junk room for the last couple of years and given how tiny this place is we’ve realised it would be nice to have some extra living space. So, the walls, woodwork and doors are being repainted. The carpet has been pulled up as it’s very old and tatty and we’re cleaning up the floorboards underneath. Then we’re painting those and will finally be putting a huge rug down in the center. When all that is done, we’ll be moving our computers in there too and at last we’ll have a lounge we can move around in.

At present, the walls, skirts and frames are almost done and hubby has cleaned up about 60% of the floor. Unfortunately, we have a lot of gaps between the floorboards and he’s having to fill these in before we can paint it. Plus they need a darn good clean as well.

Once all this is done, we need to finish off the bathroom that we started decorating earlier in the year. There’s not much to do in there, but we got tired and gave up before it was completed. Such is the life of a procrastinator – or in our case, two procrastinators.

So, generally that means not a lot has been happening elsewhere. Any free time I’m getting at the moment appears to be used by either sleeping or eating lol.
