Yep, I know, I haven’t posted for far too long. But I’m sure you’ll be thrilled to know that… drum roll …. I’m off the seroxat! I have been free for a whole month, and the evil head zaps and nausea has stopped! I am sooooo happy that I finally did it.

So, that was a fantastic start to the month. However, we have had some bad stuff happen too. We took one of our cats (Woolly) to the vet because she wasn’t eating and was wheezy. We anticipated she just had a bit of a cold, but were horrified to learn she was in an advanced stage of heart failure. The few options available to us would only have prolonged her life for a few weeks, and she may well have spent them in pain. So we made the awful decision to have her put to sleep. 🙁

Then our car failed it’s MOT and will cost us around £400 to fix. As the car isn’t worth that much, it’s not really viable, so we’ve been looking for something cheap and cheerful to get us by. But you try finding a car with MOT and tax for £200/£300. Exactly – it’s nigh on impossible.

At which point, P has decided to wait until next month when we’ll have more cash, and he’ll cycle to work in the meantime. Does this mean we have some saved cash this month? Nope! I found a really great value PC on eBay and as P’s current one belongs in a museum somewhere, I thought it would be a nice treat.

So, we may not be able to actually go anywhere, but we can happily play the new expansion pack for Half-Life 2 when it’s released on Thursday! :DI
