I got my iPod! I got my iPod! does happy dance
You know, I never really purchased an MP3 player for the style factor – I just wanted great audio quality. But I have to say, the iPod is one helluva sexy little machine. And it sounds great too. I’ve ordered a case for it off eBay because I’m getting fingerprints all over the pretty chrome backing.
Anyhoo, I bought it last night while we were doing our grocery shop at Tesco’s of all places. heheh. I was gonna go to PC World today, but as soon as I saw that Tesco’s had them in stock, I got all excited and wanted one there and then. And what was also hilarious was that the staff didn’t have a clue what P was talking about when he asked them to get one from out the back. I guess they don’t sell that many. The cashier looked shocked when she ran the tiny box through the till and it came up at nearly £220.
Now, the Name & Shame bit. One of my staff over at PGN discovered an eBayer was selling t-shirts with her artwork on. She contacted the seller and ended up getting her work taken off, but other people’s artwork is still being used. The seller is playing the ignorance card and saying she doesn’t realise the artwork is copyrighted and thus shouldn’t be used. eBay have refused to take action based on “lack of evidence”. Apparantly, the Really Useful Group contacted eBay themselves, so I don’t know why eBay haven’t taken action.
Many members at PGN are furious about this. If you’re also a member, you will find details in the Artwork forum. In the meantime, please do not purchase anything from rockinrolltees. You can’t view her feedback because she’s made it private, it’s a shame because you can’t read the comments left about the low quality of her products. On the other hand, hopefully it also discourages buyers from trading with her.
Also, if you feel strongly about this, please do let eBay know. With enough people getting involved and telling them about this plagiarism, perhaps they will finally take action and remove this seller.
