Yes, it’s been nearly a year since my last blog, and haven’t things changed. I’ve thrown myself into the complexities of running a popular forum. No more am I obsessed with blogging and cutesy design, I enjoy being a busy community hostess instead.
On the “real-life” front, little has changed. I’m still a lazy housewife and P still works for the NHS. Sounds a bit sad really, doesn’t it? Well, to be perfectly honest I’m pretty happy. I’ve made plenty of online friends these last few months and homelife is generally good. I’m still keeping half an eye out for work but, apart from wishing our finances could be a tad better, there’s no major hurry.
I’ve experienced a couple of big losses too. My beloved parrot, Ozzy, passed away last April. He had a liver defect and we literally lost him overnight. To compound the situation, we lost Biscuit too the very same day. The deaths were unrelated, but still a horrible coincidence.
But after loss come new things, and Monty joined us in October. She’s a yellow-nape and she really is a wonderful bird. She drives us potty with her constant nattering when we’re trying to watch the TV though. 😀
