Christmas is approaching fast this year and I’m nowhere near ready for it. Gonna have to do most of my shopping a few days before as we’re out of cash for this month. P bought me a Buffy collectors boxset which cost £200 and we’ve spent quite a bit on the fish lately.
Went to see a couple of movies on Friday. First up was Phantom of the Opera which I thought was excellent. I have a love/hate relationship with musicals and was pleased that this was a positive experience. Even P loved it and he hates music! I’d like to see it again at the cinema (the sheer scale and sound makes it a must) but I’m not sure P loved it that much, hehe. He rarely goes to see anything at the piccies more than once.
After seeing that, I felt quite sad cause of the ending, so we decided to go see Blade: Trinity as well. The two films couldn’t have been further apart, lol. Not a bad action movie and a good portion of humour, but still can’t compare with the original Blade.
Following all this we went out to dinner at the Oyster Reach and had yummy chicken with red wine sauce. Although the tastiest bit was the soup of the day – broccoli and stilton. I luuurve soup! 😀
Yesterday we took a trip into Colchester to pick up the Buffy boxset I mentioned earlier. It’s limited edition and had actually been withdrawn by Fox Video, but fortunately Virgin Megastores were one of the few retailers who still had some for sale. I know £200 is a lot of money, but when you consider people are flogging it on eBay for as much as £350 you can appreciate why I was so desperate to get it.
