I am very, very tired and, therefore, probably grumpy too. That’s largely my fault for not going to bed at a more reasonable hour!

OK, I got up this morning (before P!) and nervously awaited for the taxi to arrive. Along it came, at the designated time, and off we went. The chap who drove (John) was a pleasant guy. Turns out he owns the garage at the end of our street, lol. Anyways, the boy we picked up (D) was hell of a lively. I had to put his seatbelt back on three times! And every now and then, he’d let out this loud, drawnout scream which scared the knickers off me, lol. Sweet kid though, if something of a handful. I only had to look after him for a short 20min journey.
When I got home, P was (unsuccessfully) trying to fix the car. One of the silencers on the exhaust has got a nice hole in it and he was trying to patch it up. Damned thing. He arranged for his supervisor to pick him up instead.
Then later this morning, Richard arrived to pick me up for the next job. We had to go down to London and pick up a couple of kids from their boarding school. My, what a long and dull drive. If you’ve never been to England before, you’ve fortunately missed the “delights” of the M25 (London’s orbital motorway). So after a two hour drive and a cup of coffee at Tesco’s, we pick the kids up and headed back home.
The boy (T) was very quiet and spent most of the journey talking to his teddy. The girl (E) was also quiet, although at one point delighted in passing me her Sooty and Sweep videos and her drawing book. I finally got back home about 5:45pm and P arrived a few minutes later.
So, now we’re just having a quiet rest. Just downloaded the latest ep of Angel, so I’ll probably watch that in a minute. Re-opened tag-board chat, which I probably shouldn’t have done if I’m not staying on. sighs I just want some sleep.
