Tagboard Troubles

I feel sad. I was up until 4am this morning chatting with Greg (maker of Tag-Board) trying to convince him to make me an admin on his board. Eventually he asked me (and several other interested TBers) to send him an email stating why we should be an admin. So I hastily wrote the email and off it went. I still haven’t had a reply yet. But that’s not what’s made me sad.

There’s another admin on the board called Angelust. She was on this evening and we got round to talking about my conversation with Greg. She then informed me that she was his girlfriend, and the other admins were people he personally knew. Oh, I thought, this probably means he doesn’t give admin access to strangers.

But I perked up, thinking that Greg might make an exception if he realises I only want to be an admin for honest purposes. I can understand that many people would abuse that privilege. Then came the following conversation:

.:Angelust:. Blah, my admin smiles!.. ^.~ Actually I became an admin the second day I met him. I begged him for an option to ignore people, and poof the name and password appeared in my email..

.:Becky:. Lucky you! I must admit, I’m also interested in becoming an admin to get rid of some of the idiots that plague this board sometimes.

.:Angelust:. Then I shall be honest, Greg own’s tag-board. But, as his girlfriend I get a say in who becomes an admin, and I do not like other women moderating..

.:Becky:. OK, I understand Out of curiosity though, may I ask why you do not like female admins?

.:Angelust:. You may ask, but I will not answer.

So that’s that. If Angelust doesn’t like the idea, it doesn’t happen. I have no idea why she does not like female admins, but it’s her prerogative if she doesn’t wish to share her reasons.

Changing the subject, I added a new feature to Depressed Cow’s Anon. All honourable members are given the option to have a personalised email address i.e. joebloggs@depressed-cow.co.uk. All new members will recieve an email with the full details.

I really need a cigarette now. Think I might rent a feel-good movie like Crossroads to bring my spirits up. Oh, and perhaps I’ll have an early night too.
