First day back at work and believe me, I’m glad its over with. I was so nervous this morning and the temptation to pull a sickie was so great, but I did not give in! Yay me!
Since I’ve been gone, the company has recruited loads of temps and I must admit that I felt kinda left out. Everyone seemed to know each other and what they were doing. Mind you, some of them seemed to prefer to natter away to each other instead of working. I hate this. I must sound like such a prude. It’s just that I seem to be the only person who can work and be social at the same time.
So, two more days to go and it’s the weekend. Tomorrow is dad’s 70th birthday and I’ll visit and give him his present. It would be so nice to take him out somewhere, but with Phillip unable to drive, that’s not really an option right now.
One thing that will probably cheer me up is the fact that the new season of Buffy has started in the US. Although I won’t get to see it yet, I can read all the plotlines and spoilers and stuff. I know – I shouldn’t – but I just have to know what’s happening. If they just broadcast it over here at the same time, I wouldn’t have to cheat now, would I! 🙂
