I Hate My Boss

Problem fixed!!! Looks like there is something wrong with the router out of our house. The lovely guy at NTL gave us a proxy IP so we could bypass the bottleneck until it’s resolved.

So much I wanted to do with the site over the last 24hrs, but not being able to see it made that a bit difficult. Now I’ve just got the afternoon to get everything done, ’cause it’s back to work tomorrow (sigh). P’s got his orthapaedic appointment on Tuesday, so he’s probably not gonna be able to go to work that day. Which may mean I have to go in on my own. God, I hate the thought of catching the bus by myself – what am I gonna do? I also like to be with him when he goes to the hospital because he doesn’t always do what the doctor tells him and I need to know what was said. Like not using his leg at all which he bloody has been doing!

Men! Never do what’s best for themselves. Or rather, they do do what’s best for themselves, they just hate taking someone else’s advice. ‘Cause after all, who knows better than any man!

Just found this new piece of software called w.bloggar. It’s a windows app that you can write your blog in without having to go to blogger first.

AAARggghhhhhh!!!!!!! I have to SCREAM!!!! I have to tell the world that my bastard boss is an arrogant wanker!!!

OK, calm down, just calm down girl…..

P has just had a huge argument on the phone with my boss, Ian, over this whole business of being off work for the last few days. I guess I’d better spell it all out.

Right. Two weeks ago, P dislocated his knee (like this) and was rushed to hospital where it was popped back in. The doctors said he would need 6 weeks off work with crutches and a brace. Fine. For the rest of the week I stayed at home with him because he needed help getting up and down our spiral stairs and carrying things like cups of tea etc.

We decided to try and go back to work last Monday, but after a couple of days, P’s leg was playing up and I also didn’t feel well. So we had the rest of last week off. This is when the boss starts getting nasty.

Because we both work together and are “romantically involved”, people get suspicious when we have time off together. Earlier this year, my boss sacked us because people at work were spreading rumours about us sneaking off to the loo together (complete load of bull!). A couple of weeks later, he took us back on again, but we have been very nervous of what people think since then.

So, to make matters easier (or so we thought), we decided to tell Ian that P’s leg was so bad that the reason I also had the rest of last week off was to look after him. However, he got cranky about this and threatened me with the sack. So, on Friday, we decided to come clean and admit it was because I was ill. Did this solve our problems? Hell no! Now he says I should have told the truth and he wouldn’t have penalised us for it (yeah right!).

So now he’s threatening to sack me for lying, he also says the company that I’m working for don’t want me back. Also, on Friday, when P rang to say we wouldn’t be in he couldn’t get through and had to leave a message. Ian says this is bollocks as he had the phone on him at the time. You can’t win with this bloke!

So, now we’re waiting for a call back from him so we know what the hell we’re doing tomorrow. I just had to have a fag ’cause of the stress.
