Today was bloody exhausting! I was trying to get this bastard machine at work to stop going wrong. It was determined to make sure I didn’t finish what I was working on today.
The machine I’m referring to is a tube filler – it fills tubes (like toothpaste) and then seals them. The trouble is, it’s about 15 years old and can’t handle what we put it through, so gradually pieces are falling off it! I didn’t help though when I managed to get a solid steel component caught in the turntable and bent it! Then, this morning, I accidentally picked up Hand and Nail Cream tubes and started filling them with Foot Lotion. Arghh!
I thought I’d just mention the rather amusing naming convention used by one of our more exclusive clients. They make a range of body and hair care products which are given to top hotels and airlines. Here’s some of their latest ideas:
All Together Now – shower gel/shampoo
Take a Grip – Dry shower in a bottle (?)
Ahhhhhhh! – Foot balm
Power Breakfast – Facial mask/scrub
All Mouth – mouthwash/breath essence
G-Force – Energising mouth spray
All-in-All – moisturiser/conditioner
As you can see, they specialise in “multi-use” products. Their names make me crack up though. I think they’re a foreign company and don’t quite understand english phrases. Like “Take a Grip” is supposed to be “Get a Grip”, but they kinda missed the point.
