Hi Jane,

This entry is quite old yes, but still gets quite a few visits so thank you for commenting. :)

I haven't come across many negative experiences with Suki, so it's interesting to hear from someone who has had trouble with it like I did. Unfortunately, my redness has only worsened even though I gave up the Suki line well over a year ago and I'm still desperately trying to find something that will help. I've looked at the Dr Hauschka line, but not given it a go yet - maybe I will check it out again, so thank you for the recommendation. :)

The same thing happened to me with the suki line. I used it for two weeks and then out of the blue I developed redness on my face. I think the exfoliating cleanser combined with the vit. c serum can cause irritation. Since I stopped using the products and went back to hauschka my skin has been feeling much better. I think that this can sometimes be caused by overcleansing COMBINED with the rich cream. I'd hold off on the lemongrass cleanser for a bit. The last thing you need is exfoliation right now. You need to allow the skin time to heal. Good luck!

Hi Nikki, thanks for commenting. :)

I have tried oil supplements a few times and for some reason they seem to break me out. As soon as I stop using them, the acne improves.

That said, I do have a strong feeling that my diet is playing a role and I would definitely like to do something about that. I probably have an intolerance to something, but my self-discipline at finding out what is sadly lacking. It's my intention to get some professional advice in the near future.

Thanks for your suggestions, they are greatly appreciated. :)

Hi I came across your blog doing a google search on OCM. I do like your blog, but I think maybe the skin troubles you're having are due to the foods you are eating. In addition, other oils and more specifically vitamins like Borage Oil, Evening Primrose oil, Biotin, and alpha-lipoic might just help you. Also, gradually incorporating raw foods into your diet should help as well, like lots of fruit, veggies, and water! Wish you the best of luck.

Hi Helen, it's lovely to hear from you. I hope business is going well. :)

It's certainly been a tough couple of months here, I'll be glad when I can put it all behind me. I do indeed seem to have fussy skin and it looks like it's had enough lol. To be fair to Suki, I'm not sure it's the products alone that caused this, I think my infection made me very run-down and the two together overloaded my skin. That said, I am now quite wary of what I put on my face.

I have been testing another range this last week (on the other half of my face lol) which is just as nice as the Suki stuff, but with less ingredients. When this rash has gone, I won't go back to using so many products at the same time, I'm going to be a lot more careful with my face.

I've been reluctantly using a hydrocortisone cream for the last few days, but I'll be arranging to see the doctor just to rule out anything nasty. I will perhaps give the rolled oats a try as well, thank you for the suggestion. :)

Congratulations on starting a blog, I will check that out in a moment. I have a facebook page too, not that I'm very good at doing anything with it lol, but I'll look you up on there too. :)

Hi Becky
I was beginning to think your skin troubles were over, since I hadn't checked in since Sept when all was going swimmingly. :O
Just catching up this eve only to read your news, and I am so sorry to read of the sad departure of your pet cats. :( Not only that, but your out of pocket again re Suki. :(( Jeez your skin really is as temperamental as mine, and really cant handle creams it seems, no matter how lovely they may be.
Just wondering if you have tried using rolled oats as a skin cleanser alone to clear up the patch on your cheek?
I use them as a replacement to all cleansers and soaps when my face or body skin has flared up for some unknown reason, they work fantastically well and sooo cost effective too. :D

After patting skin dry, I dab a little plain ol Hemp Seed Oil to enhance the healing, and I m back on track again.
Just a thought anyway, and I do hope the patch clears very soon, if it hasn't already.
Best wishes Hx

PS: Ooh I have started a blog too at long last, but its really not as lovely as yours. Keep up the good work, and I'll keep practicing. LOL :D
Ive also set up a Facebook page for Innocent Oils too, do pop by if you are about on Facebook too.
