Preview: Latest Anita Grant Goodies!

I’m so happy, my package from Anita Grant arrived this morning! I was a little worried as the status of my order still says Confirmed instead of Shipped, so it was a lovely surprise to hear the postman knocking on my door.

Anita Grant OrderAs mentioned in an earlier post, I bought a full-size bottle of the Camellia Copaiba Bath & Body Oil which is one of the large pump bottles you can see in the picture. The other is a Wheat Germ & Carrot Cleansing Oil which I’m intending to use for my oil cleansing regimen. The two smaller bottles are samples of the Camellia with Ylang-Ylang and Lavender (for my stretchmarks) and Watermelon Oil which I may also use as part of the oil cleansing process.

The block of what looks like marble is actually a shampoo bar - Kelp and Ylang-Ylang Babassu to be precise. Can you see a bit of a ylang-ylang theme here? :D It wasn’t intentional, but it is a favourite oil of mine. Finally, I have a Lemon Lippy Pucker, and delicious it is too.

I’ll no doubt be telling you all how I get on with them at some point in the future, so if you’re interested in these products then please check back over the next few weeks. Alternatively, if you have any direct questions, I’ll be happy to answer, just pop them in the comments area. :)

    Hi Becky,
I have been wanting to try the Carrot & Wheat Germ oil cleanser from Anita Grant, so I’ll be interested in your review on it.

    Hi Mary,

Lovely to hear you’re looking forward to a review of the Carrot & Wheat Germ Oil. It will probably be a few weeks as I want to give my face some time to adjust to the Oil Cleansing Method. However, I’ve been using it for a couple of days and I must say I’m liking it already. I only use a couple of pumps which is plenty for a good 5+ minute massage and I don’t feel as greasy using it as I did with the castor oil and walnut oil.

It hasn’t caused an acne breakout (a very good sign!) and my complexion looks very even afterwards with no blemishes.

One interesting thing to note: the product description on Anita’s site says it’s unscented, but it smells of sesame seed oil - an ingredient which is not mentioned on the site but is listed on the bottle. I suspect Anita has adjusted the formula but forgotten to amend the product page.

Is the kelp and ylang shampoo bar more moisturizing than her non scented ones? I love her non scented one. (I recently tried a sample and it lathered beautifully, even with our hard water situation).  Are you a relaxed or natural chick? Thanks so much!

    Hi Pamela,

I would think the kelp and ylang-ylang are added to help with oil balancing, rather than providing extra moisturising properties. I haven’t tried the unscented bar though, so couldn’t honestly tell you if it makes any difference. I do agree that it lathers up very nicely and I also live in a hard water area.

BTW, I only bought the bar because I thought the kelp might help my oily scalp - I’m not actually a curly girl, sadly.

If you have any queries regarding the differences between the soap bars, I would suggest you send Anita an email directly. She’s also very active on the Nappturality message boards (username Shulta) talking about her products and answering any questions members have. :)

Thanks for your speedy reply! :) I’ll check over there to see what others have said about her scented shampoo bars.  Have a great day! :)

    Hi Becky,
When ordering Anita Grant products did you have any issues with your password or not receiving her e-mails.
                                                      Thank for you help

    Hi Sandy,

I’ve always received two email confirmations immediately after placing an order, followed by another email after despatch. I’ve had no problems at all logging into the site. That said, my last order from Anita was back in April, so I don’t know if there are any problems with her site at the moment. I do know that she’s been getting a lot of orders lately, but I wouldn’t think that would impact any automated account functions.

It sounds to me like the email address associated with your account may be incorrect, which would explain why you are not receiving anything including (presumably) the email to reset your password. I’d recommend you either pop Anita a note or give her a ring to get that fixed. The details are on her contact page here:

I hope the problems are rectified for you promptly and you get to enjoy your goodies very soon. :)
