Ingredients: Cocoa Butter; Shea Butter; essential oils

This bar comes in three varieties and being a huge fan of rose, patchouli and ylang ylang, I decided to try out the Tantra blend. After reviewing it on Pure Skincare’s customer forum, Emily from Pure Nuff Stuff kindly sent me the Invigorating (Basil & Lemon) and Relaxing (Chamomile & Geranium) blends to try out as well.

An Exciting Find!

So I was just searching on google for similiar sites, when I discovered a UK-based skincare company that I’ve not seen before. Anita Grant seems to sell goodies that are right up my street and at reasonable prices too. I’ve just perused the whole site and noted a few things I’d love to try, so will probably put in an order this evening. I love that they have sample sizes - this is something I believe every company should offer. There have been many times I’ve wanted to try something expensive, but was concerned about wasting my money if I didn’t like it. Natural products often don’t come cheap and offering samples and trial sizes is a great way to help potential customers take the plunge.

Anyway, I’ll be sure to post about my experiences with the products after I’ve had a few days to play with them. :)

UPDATE: I’ve just placed my order, which should arrive on Wednesday. Had to juggle around with some of the items I wanted in order to get Special Delivery postage - my impatience knows no bounds! :D I ordered some lovely looking oils and butters and a couple of lip balms, I’m really looking forward to trying them out.

The Dandruff Is Back

Well, my biggest skin problem at the moment is my excessive dandruff. I’ve just about managed to keep it under control, except for times like today. When the weatherman said to expect snow, this is not what I hoped to see. So, I’m going to have to bring out the big guns and use the T/Gel. It’s not natural, but sometimes I have no choice - not if I want to go out in public anyway. On a bad day though, even the T/Gel doesn’t do the trick. Or the Nizoral.

It’s so bad sometimes that I get really depressed. Even if the flakes aren’t visible, I get the itching and can feel the roughness if I massage my scalp. Often it appears around my ears and on my nape too. I’m really hoping that one day I’ll find the shampoo that will send it packing for good.

Earthbound Organics Rose CreamPrice: £16.50 for 50g
Rating: 5 Hearts
Link: http://www.earthbound.co.uk

Ingredients: rosewater, rosehip oil *, marshmallow oil *, borage oil *, sesame oil *, local beeswax, grapefruit seed extract *, rose essential oil.
* = Organic ingredients

I began using this cream back in November 2007. I’m a real sucker for rose and despite already using Akamuti’s Replenishing Rose cream, I wanted to give this a try. I was also tempted by the inclusion of borage oil, which has helped my acne in the past. I liked this product so much that it has now replaced the Akamuti cream altogether.

Welcome to Online Goddess, my little corner of the web where I’ll be talking about my experiences with my troublesome skin and reviewing natural skincare products that I’ve used. Please see the About page for more detail and I hope you enjoy the information I’ll be posting here.

BTW, If you’ve visited Online Goddess before, you may be wondering what has happened to my personal blog. Basically, I realised it wasn’t that interesting to other people and my life is dreadfully boring anyway. So I decided to make something a little more useful. :)
